I moved to Göttingen, a beautiful small city in the middle of Germany. The institute of my MSCA PF grant is the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organisation.
My proposal named SASQUATCH (Searching for Arrhythmia Solutions through Quantification and Analysis of Transient CHaos) started.
I presented my latest non-linear dynamics research in cardiology and its link to feedback loops in engineering.
- TEKNOWLOGY 2025 Innovation Market: We presented an interactive demo about heart rhythm disorders and the initiation and termination of spiral waves from cells to organs.
- New Postdoc Desmond Kabus: An excellent postdoc was appointed on the NWO Open Mind grant for the following 7 months :)
- Open Mind Grant 2024 winner: Thrilled to anounce I won one of the 7 Open Mind grants for innovative and out-of-the-box ideas with a high societal relevance and potential impact.

- Mathematics of wave phenomena mini-symposium: This interdisciplinary get-together was organized by me to strengthen the bonds between mathematics and medicine.
- Master/Bachelor students: Daily supervisor of several biophysical and biomedical projects related to cardiology
- Seminar: Gave a seminar at the mathematics department linking biology of the heart to dynamical systems
Went for 3 days of caving in the largest cave system in the world, located in Vietnam. Phenomenal!
