The conference:
Dynamics Days Europe is a series of major international conferences founded in the 1980’s that provides a European forum for developments in the theory and applications of dynamics. For more than 40 years, it has been bringing together researchers from a wide range of backgrounds including physics, mathematics, biology, and engineering for interdisciplinary research in nonlinear science.
The Dynamics Days Europe took place this year in the beautiful Lisbon in Portugal. Straight after the final of the FIFA world cup, the conference started. I presented on the first day during the minisymposium on "Modeling, analysis and control of cardiac dynamics (Part II)". In the evening, all participants of the symposium went out for dinner together. The following week was packed with discussions and new encounters (some with people I still remembered from last year).
I can highly recommend Lisbon as a city you should visit, and the Dynamics Days as a conference.
